Meet Announcement, Event List and Qualifying Times
The Qualifying Period is from August 8, 2007 through July 30, 2008
To qualify, you must have swum at least two (2) AMS-Sanctioned or Senior Circuit meets on our AMS Schedule between the dates of April 1st through July 27th, 2008, for a total of four (4) sessions and twelve (12) individual events and have met the qualifying time standards for this meet. All swimmers who meet these requirements and have submitted an on-line AMS 2008 Long Course Zone application will be on the AMS 2008 Long Course Team.

Maximum Qualifying times exist for this meet and can be found in the Meet Announcement or on the Eastern Zone page detailing the Meet Documents.

This season's Zones meet will be held August 6th through August 9th, 2008. The 13 & Overs Prelims and all Finals will be held at the Montgomery Aquatic Center – 5900 Executive Boulevard, Rockville, MD 20852-2756. The 12 & Under prelim sessions will be hald at the Rockville Municipal Swim Center - 355 Martins Lane Rockville, MD 20850. 10 & Unders will swim timed-finals events.

The AMS Zone Team will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Germantown, MD.
The currently estimated costs per swimmer are:
10 & Under's - $280
11 – 12's - $320
13 & Over's - $460

There will be a Zone Team Practice and Parent Meeting at Pine Richland High School on Monday, August 4th, from 6:30 until 8:00 PM.

The "real-time(?)" results can be found here. Keep in mind that the Preliminary sessions are being run in two separate areas. There is some amount of coordination required to update these pages correctly. Finals should be updated much more easily.

2008 AMS LONG COURSE ZONE INFORMATION

The deadline for application submission was Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11:59 PM.
The deadline for submitting Zone Applications for this Long Course season has expired.
The 2008 Eastern Zone Age Group All-Star Swimming Championship Introduction Letter contains information for all prospective AMS Zone team swimmers, parents, and coaches. Be sure to read this important information.

Zone Map
There are 12 LSC's which make up the Eastern Zone of the US: Allegheny Mt. (Western PA); Niagara, Adirondack, and Metropolitan (NY); Middle Atlantic; Maryland; Virginia; Potomac Valley; New Jersey; Connecticut; New England; and Maine. All four Zones (Eastern, Southern, Central, and Western) conduct All Star competitions for teams within their Zone.
